Collection: Honey

The Counts of Provence have a speciality: honey. You can find our entire range of honeys in our online store selling honey. Honey is a totally natural food, made by bees and harvested by the beekeeper. It is full of benefits. To produce it, the bees forage plants and flowers, to collect the nectar, which they transport to the hive. The bees will transform it into honey thanks to their enzymes. The beekeeper can then proceed to harvest the honey. Depending on the area where the hive will be placed, the bees will forage on a certain type of vegetation, which will give its characteristics to the honey. The color of the honey, its shade, its conservation, its perfume, and its texture therefore depend on the place of harvest and the plants that will be visited by the bees. Packaged in a 250g jar, they can be eaten on a slice of bread or poured over a pancake like in Quebec. They have a strong sweetening power and can be added to yogurts, herbal teas, teas or pastries. They can also be used in cooking with certain meats, such as duck breast and can be used in the composition of sauces and juices to accompany savory or sweet dishes.
